Hire Kart Questions

Sensible clothing for the weather condition. No heels or open toed shoes are allowed. If you do arrive wearing these it may mean no Karting for you.
Trainers or flat shoes/boots are recommended. Race suits, helmets and gloves are provided for your session.

The answer is yes, as long as it’s a full face crash helmet – not a motor cross one, and the suit is in good clean condition. Please check with a member of staff.

Karting is normally an all-weather sport, but sometimes we may have to cancel if the rain becomes to much or if there is snow/ice. If this is the case, we will try and contact you before your session to reschedule. If you cannot reschedule, we will offer you a refund. If YOU cancel because its raining but the circuit is still operational then you will lose your deposit.

Booking is made over the phone. We do not have on line booking.
A 50% deposit is required for weekend and school holiday bookings to secure your session.
A 100% payment is needed for mid-week bookings.

The Café is usually open on weekends and school holidays. At quieter times hot drinks are available to purchase from reception.

A circuit arrival of 30 minutes prior to your session is needed so we can get you signed on. Once signed on you will be taken to get your race suits on and then go for your safety briefing.
Children will then be brake tested before being allowed out on circuit.

Our minimum age is 6 years old, they must already be 6 years and they must be 1 metre tall.
Whilst there is no upper age limit, drivers must meet our sign on criteria and be physically capable of using a kart. There is no upper weight limit, if you can fit in our karts then you can use them Drivers who are unsure are more than welcome to call us to come and sit in one first before booking.

This depends on the type of booking you have made. The only sessions that are exclusive are our adult Lydd45, Lydd60, Lydd90 and Lydd120 events.

On our junior/family circuit we can have a maximum of 10 karts on circuit (depending on age).
On our senior/adult circuit we can have a maximum of 12 karts on circuit.
